Inventory Reorder Timing: A Practical Amazon FBA Guide
A common mistake is reordering based on a fixed “reorder point” quantity that never changes. But your ideal reorder timing shifts constantly with seasonality, lead time changes, and sales velocity swings.
A better mental model: reorder when (current stock ÷ daily sales velocity) is close to your supplier’s lead time plus a safety buffer — not when stock hits an arbitrary number.
